About Me

Well, it's about time I wrote something here. I'm not going to beat around the bush: I need to save money. Like many, I've had a drastic cut in income without any decrease in expenditure and the truth is, it hurts badly. And while life goes on as normal, you don't really notice it, until your bank account balances get perilously close to zero.

I think one of the major points is, is that people ignore the actual gravity of the situation. By not believing you are spending too much (or not earning enough), you actually believe it's true. No one wants to be a failure, after all. But reality has to bite sometime, and the sooner it does, the better off you'll be in the long run. Believe me, I've only been following some of these tips a short while and the difference can be amazing. Some produce benefits straightaway, whilst some are slow burners; you won't notice them month-to-month, but over a year it'll be much easier to see.

I've separated most of the tips out into relevant sections, with ratings for their difficultly and estimated savings per week and per year so you can see the big picture. If you want to contribute, there's a contact page where you can give me some help, and I'll take everything on-board. Good luck, if you're wanting to follow!

Here's what I'm doing at the moment:
